The presentation machine (the piece of equipment on the right in the photo) is for dehairing only.  It is used in combination of the scalding dehairing machine.  With this combination 2 hogs are processed at the same time resulting in an hourly capacity of 25-30 hogs.

The hog is scalded and dehaired for approximately 2 minutes at an increased temperature in the combination scalder dehairer.  

The hog is transferred to the presentation machine where it is further dehaired and cleaned.  At the same time the next hog is placed in the combination scalding dehairing machine. Thus, 2 hogs are in process at the same time.
